Sino sa atin ang gustong mag-travel via business class?

Siyempre, lahat tayo! Masarap at feeling special kapag nasa business class.
Maraming mga benefits such as bigger and more comfortable seats, you get VIP treatment, unlimited drinks, and free meals.

But in recent news, nabalitaan mo ba na si President Duterte ay umuwi sa Davao on a commercial flight? Hindi lang siya commercial, but it was really unprecedented and very unusual for the highest official of the land to choose to travel in economy class rather than in business class.

Marahil ang iba sa inyo ay nag-iisip pa rin kung bakit ito ginawa ni President Duterte. In one of his interviews, natuwa ako noong sumagot si President, "Why travel in first class if it can also bring you from point A to point B? Eh, sabay naman kami aabot."

That makes a lot of sense, tama siya! Hindi ka naman mauunang lumanding kahit nasa business class ka. Also, ang dami pang ibang mga benefits, tulad ng…

BUDGET-FRIENDLY

Siyempre, unang-una ito sa listahan. Kung gusto mong makatipid, try economy class. If legroom ang habol mo, my tip for you is to get a seat on the first row or the exit row where there is a wider space in front of you.

GREATER SAFETY

I do not want to sound negative, but did you know that, according to Digital Travel Editor, our chances of survival when the plane crashes is much higher than those in the first class? That's because they say that the strongest & safest part of the plane are within the seats over the wings. So if a plane crashes, we would want to be seated in the economy class.

BETTER COMPANY

There's a much more sense of community in economy class. Why? Ang mga nasa first class, hindi masyadong nakikipag-socialize dahil most of the time ayaw nilang pa-istorbo o pagambala. So if you want company and conversation, choose economy class.

As you see, iilan lamang ito sa mga benefits ng paglalakbay in economy class. Wala namang masama kung pipiliin mo pa rin ang first class the next time you fly.

Pero mabalik tayo sa ating Pangulo. Talaga namang kahanga-hanga ang kanyang pinapakita. Alam kong hindi pakitang-tao ang mga ipinapamalas niya ngayon. It only shows that he lives a very simple life and is a very practical person. Mabuhay ka, President Duterte!

"I am honoured to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories.

The first story is about connecting the dots.

I dropped out of Reed College [Portland, Oregon] after the first six months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before I really quit. So why did I drop out?

“Naka-tatlong attempt na ako mag apply diyan, titigil na ako baka naman hindi para sa akin yun.”

“Lagi na lang nalulugi yung mga sinisimulan kong business. Sign ba to na huwag ko na ipush ang pagiging entrepreneur?”

MAHIRAP UMASA SA IBA

Umaasa ka ba sa magulang mo para sa pang araw-araw mong pang gastos?
Umaasa ka ba sa mga anak mo para sa pagpagamot mo?
Umaasa ka ba sa ibang tao para sa kinabukasan mo?
Sa totoo lang, napakahirap umasa sa iba.
Napakahirap lumapit at minsan ta-timing ka pa kung maganda ba ang mood o malamig ang ulo. Eh paano na, kung mainit ang ulo niya for 2 weeks, eh di 2 weeks ka rin maghihintay?

Kaya kung ikaw ay handa ng tumayo sa sariling mong mga paa at maging independent, read on.

Kung meron man tayong aasahan, isa lang ang pwede natin asahan.

DEPEND ON GOD

Ang Diyos lang ang katangi tangi na maaari nating asahan, dahil hindi Niya tayo iiwan at hindi Niya rin tayo bibiguin.

God knows what’s best for each one of us kaya naman sinasagot Niya ang mga panalangin natin na ayon sa Kanyang plano. At yung mga unanswered prayers? Dapat mo din yun i-appreciate dahil ibig sabihin nun ay may better plan si Lord for you.

You’ll never go wrong kung aasa ka sa Panginoon dahil Siya ay powerful and mighty!

But there’s another one whom we can depend on.

DO WHAT YOU CAN

Sikapin natin na gawin ang lahat sa abot ng ating makakaya na huwag tayo aasa sa iba. Para kang minsan namumulubi dahil ikaw ang hingi ng hingi. Hindi naman natin maiiwasan na minsan tayo ay nangangailangan ng tulong.

But with limits.

Oo, maaari tayong umasa sa sarili natin. Bakit? Kasi walang ibang pwedeng mag-decide para sa sarili natin kundi tayo lang. Walang ibang pwedeng gumawa ng paraan kundi tayo lang. Yes, you can always depend on God, but He also wants us to act! Nagdadasal ka nga pero di ka naman umaaksyon, ano yun? Si God ang inaasahan mong gumalaw para sayo? Ipinagdadasal mo na ma-promote ka pero tambay mode ka naman palagi sa opisina. Ipinagdadasal mo na maging healthy ka pero puro bisyo, junk foods, at negatibong mga bagay naman ang laman ng iyong sistema. Ipinagdadasal mo na di ma-late sa school pero late ka naman kung gumising. Aba, gumising po tayo sa katotohanan na hindi sapat ang pagdadasal. Sabi nga sa James 2:17, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

So the bottomline is, you can always depend on God but also do your part.
